Full Moon at Iguazu Falls!

It only happens once a month so my friend Michelle, my son Dante and I went up to check out the full moon everyone has been talking about.  We went to see the full moon inside the Argentine Park – Las Cataratas of Iguazu Falls before seeing the park during the day.  It was so mysterious and adventurous.  The experience was unforgettable and I recommend that if you’re in Argentina during the full moon, you have to fly up to Iguazu just to check out the infamous FULL MOON.

SAVINGS AND SHOPPIN’: That’s what Mr. Hoffman didn’t know when he brought his wife to Argentina.

I set this LA couple in a beautiful apartment in the heart of Palermo Soho, the chic new neighborhood of BA. For only $350 dollars for the week they saved cash for Mrs. Hoffman’s shopping spree, where they would have spent at least $130/night in a hotel. Lo and behold Mr. Hoffman found himself shopping everyday with his savings. While they were here, Mr. Hoffman featured me and my company in his radio story on budget traveling. Check it out:

ARGENTINE STEAK: That was on these two brits’ minds!

What started off as a city tour turned into a San Telmo Food and Wine Tour. After cruisin’ Recoleta, they only had one thing in mind and that was gettin’ the best steak in town… and so they got it. With my help they ordered a special cut, “mollejas” and “morcilla”… two delicacies in Argentina. Oh, the wine, they fell in love with the Argentine Malbec. On the way out they stocked up on a ton of gifts for the Mrs. and kids in my favorite store in San Telmo.

Chillin’ With the Locals: LA girls live it up in BA!

Checkin’ out the city and dabbling in the local’s drink… MATE… Anna and Nakia learned why everyone in Argentina drinks it. They got hooked! On their city tour, they learned a couple of my secret shopping places and loaded up on beautiful bags, wallets and messenger bags. They also took a couple of days to discover the outskirts of Buenos Aires on a day trip to an Estancia… “a nice day at the ranch” as Anna put it, and a day at the lovely river town, Tigre.

Keepin’ It Real: Seeing the city from a local’s eye!

On their latin america tour, the Barafs stopped in BA for 4 days. The challenge was to see the city in a one-day tour, set up a tango evening and their first night arrival. Their first night they dined at one of the best “parrilla” restaurants and hit up the BA theater district – one of the best in the world next NYC and London – for a hilarious show “La Jaula de Las Locas.” The next day they took a one-on-one tango lesson, falling in love with the dance, and a tour of the 5 best neighborhoods learning about the history and culture. Leaving with a bang, they discovered an underground tango club with a live orchestra in an old warehouse/large garage. They were literally WOWED… check out the review.Marlena said…

“I wanted to take a moment to thank you again for the plans that you made for us in BA. We had a wonderful time–and will return! Highlights for me: Tango class, Malba, Orquestra Tipica Argentina (WOW)-including the garage/cum stage/cum dance floor/cum bar, AND meeting you and Franco and Dante. That last night was inolvidable with the music and the setting. We will never forget it.”

With just a week between jobs, this Bohemian-Chic New Yorker hits up Buenos Aires in a storm buying up the freshest and hottest Argentine designs at a fraction of the price on her very own shopping tour tailored to her taste and style. With not much time to spare, she also discovered the historic and cultural side of Buenos Aires in a one-day city tour and brought along her dad…. the history buff. Jenny from VH1 said:

“Buenos Aires is an oasis for shopping and offers unique and innovative designs for any interest. Christina was able to tailor shops of interest to hone in on my exact taste and style, thus breaking through the clutter and saving time that would have otherwise been spent meanderingly aimlessly. She’s the best not so secret shopping tool of BA.”
