Who’s behind BAlocal?

Christina Wiseman – Founder:  ”I guess you can call me a risk-taker… moved to Argentina to take a break from the hustle and bustle of my life in the fashion/cosmetics industry in New York City. The plan was to stay for 3 months… well, I never left Buenos Aires! I’ve made this my home and discovered that many tourists, as I once was, were looking for the “cool” things to do in Buenos Aires. Fortunately, I had time to discover what the city has to offer but I know many of you with your busy schedules, might only have 3-7 days to spend here. Instead of wandering around, wondering where you should eat, stay, go out at night, what boutiques to go to, what neighborhood has the best shopping and site seeing, we save you time by customizing your itinerary to exactly what you want to see and do, whether you want to know the cultural/historical side or the cutting edge fashion of Buenos Aires, we plan your trip and accompany you to all your destinations as your personal guide.”

Chance Miller – Partner at BAlocal and city tour guide:  In early 2007, few travelers in the world realized just how lucky they were that Tour Guide Guy Chance Miller chose Buenos Aires as the place to take Spanish.  Having already been to 23 different countries, this Native Texan didn’t realize that Lucky Number 24 was going to win his heart and make it nearly impossible to leave.

After studying Spanish and then trying his hand at teaching English, Chance was asked if he would like to put his enormous brain and undeniable charm and good looks (as well as his love of hearing his own voice) to good use by giving City Tours.  Having first contemplated the idea of being a tour guide over 10 years before, Chance channeled his inner tourist and set out to learn as much as he could about the history and architecture of this great city and then deliver it in the most entertaining way possible.

But unlike many guides who learn a script and then go through the motions, Chance continues to explore neighborhoods, buildings, churches, and the mythological history of Buenos Aires so that he always has something new to add to his tours to give his guests a memorable experience while gaining a better understand of the World Class city that they are visiting.
